celebration can you compare the Meelad-u-nabi
ceremonies in America &Kerala?
Yes, Milad-un-Nabi celebration is one of the most
anticipated and revered event, even in the west. During the whole month of
Rabiul Awal there would be gatherings organized every night, where men and
women come to listen to the seerat of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him by
various scholars and nasheeds are sung in His praise. On the 12th morning everyone from various masaajid
comes together in a parade, which goes through the streets on the city till
night fall. In short, Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated the same way as it is
celebrated in India.
Through this mode of ceremonies, what are
the things that put
forward to a plural society?
The main thing put forward to the people is in
depth explanations about the life of the prophet peace be upon him as well as
all the struggles he endured throughout his life for the ummah. The people are
also educated about how they can improve their lives and make it successful in
this dunya and the akhirah
In most of the places, Prophet (PBUH),
Muslim symbols, etc... Is to
be stigmatized. What are major reasons for it?
The major reason for this is because we as
Muslims failed to show the world what Islam really is when it was the time to
show it. We have failed on all levels. The major reason for our failure is
because every day that passes we lose our spiritually due to lack of sincerity
in our doings for the pleasure of Allah the All powerful. We have started to do
things for gaining a position in this dunya and we work so hard to gain respect
of people rather than the pleasure of Allah the Most Merciful. In short, the
majority of Muslims everywhere in the world are more concerned about their
positions and livelihood in this dunya, which is reflected in their actions.
And when the general public sees this, what do you expect them to think about
Islam and everything it stands for? We need to act upon the teachings of Islam
and not only preach it. When one of us does something, all of us will get the
blame because we are one Ummah. We must never forget this.

Humans of all religion in this era are in need of
a spiritual uplift. And sessions as a moulid session provide not only the

concern with the methodology of sunnah. Can you
elaborate this some
more?
The reason for these heated discussions is mainly as I stated
before, that the majority of Muslims are only concerned about their positions.
And accepting that the other party is right is difficult because of their
reputation and status being on the line.
You see the sunnah is not something to be debate upon. The sunnah
is there for our salvation, our guidance on life. It is what makes us humans.
If we continue debating on the sunnah more and practicing on it less, we will
only fall into utter destruction.
After the 9\11, the studying about prophet
(PBUH) and Islam
increased in west. What is your opinion about
this statement?
This is true. The Quran was also the most sought
after book after 9/11. Even till today, Islam still remains the fastest growing
religion in the west after the 9/11 incident…
Prophet’s politics, education policy,
economics etc… are effective
alternatives in on-going global milieu?
It is without any doubt at all the most
effective. Muslims as well as non-Muslims know this to be true and an
undeniable.
There are number of allegations are to be
raised against
prophet(PBUH) “Egalitarian Universalism.”
How will answer for it?
Allah created humans with intellect and gave them
the option of choice in life. Some people choose to degrade the Prophet, where
as others including me chooses to sanctify and glorify him. In this modern time
so close to Qayamat, we who choose to glorify the beloved Prophet must do our
duty to tell the people that they are wrong in their allegations. And if they
choose to ignore what we say, we must not waste time behind them. Leave them to
Allah the All Wise. It is the best thing to do.
After the sprouting of Muslim
Fundamentalism in late 19th and the
beginning of 20th centuary, the portrait of
prophet(PBUH) was some
what vulgar….
Islam is a moderate religion and has no place for
fundamentalism. Those who choose to degrade the beloved Prophet peace be upon
him will severely be dealt with by Allah the All Powerful, as will those be who
portray the Holy Prophet Peace be upon him in a vulgar way. We must answer them
yes.
Can we hope a reconstruction of Islamic
culture, civilization,
intellectual tradition, as we see in golden age
in middle east?
Yes of course we can hope and pray. But the fact
remains that such an age will never return. Our beloved Prophet peace be upon
him has foretold an atrocious time before Qayamat. We in this modern time are
witnessing the beginning of that time. The reconstruction of that golden age is
not possible because if it was to happen then it would mean that our Prophet was
wrong in his Prophecy. Allah has mercy on us, the Prophet is never wrong. So,
for that golden age to be reconstructed is impossible.
Compare with other Muslim societies in the
world, Muslim Kerala
cope with democratic secularism and mass
culture. How can we transfer
this to other parts of the world?
Alhamdulilllah the Indian state of Kerala is
without a doubt a very unique place all together. Transferring their
achievements to the rest of world can only be done in one way and one way
only…DAWA.
Now Ahlussunna in Kerala in a water tight
effort to achieve
Islamic revivalism in post modern era, here we
can make a chain
between eastern and western Muslims?
Ahlussunnah Kerala is doing excellent work
Alhamdulillah. If any where can create such a chain it will most likely be
Kerala. This is an absolute fact and to make this chain a reality, the right
dawa must be done.
What are the possible factors of Muslim propagators
in west?
Especially most of the converts of Muslims in
west like Jeffry Lang,
Murad HolfMan requested the eastern scholars to
come in west and teach them about Islam?
One important factor is spirituality. The west
already have secularism what they need is spirituality. Another factor to be
aware of is losing spirituality and becoming more secular. Many scholars from
India and the rest of Asia have gone to the west previously to do the work of
dawa but only a few achieved their goal. Before they all went their thinking
was very spiritual Alhamdulillah. However once they reached there they started
to think more secular. May Allah save us insha Allah ameen.
The illustration of Islam in America ? Are we
can see any deviation
in the American’s midway?
The deviation about Islam in the day to day mind
of the west is because of two things.
1. The
non-Muslims of the west see Islam as a threat to their life. some people still
think of all Muslims as terrorists.
2. Muslims
in the west and the east show a side which leads to the day to day deviation in
the minds of non-Muslims.
